EDC Educator and Workshop Participant Recently Featured on NJFA's Aging Insights Show

An Everyone with Diabetes Counts (EDC) educator and workshop participant were recently featured on the New Jersey Foundation for Aging's Aging Insights program to talk about managing Type 2 Diabetes.

The mission of the NJFA is to "promote services that enable 
older adults to live in the community with independence and
dignity through a variety of means to Karen Hale and Donald Stewartaddress unmet needs and through increasing society's awareness to influence public policy. Specifically, 
Aging Insights addresses issues that impact the lives of seniors, boomers and caregivers. 

The EDC program is a national initiative of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The program offers free six-week workshops that are open to people in New Jersey with Medicare who have diabetes, their family members and caregivers. 

EDC is coordinated in New Jersey, Delaware, Louisiana, Pennsylvania and West Virginia by Quality Insights, a Quality Innovation Network-Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO). Quality Insights collaborates with healthcare providers, patients and allied organizations across the network to bring about widespread, significant improvements in the quality of care they deliver. Our goal is better care, smarter spending and healthier people.
