Valuable Advice, Resources and Best Practice Sharing Helps Small Practice Achieve Success

The practice of Levi Walker, MD, PC, a solo internal medicine practice in Pittsburgh, PA, has been working with Quality Insights for several years on a variety of projects. Danielle Walker heads up the practice’s efforts for meaningful use attesting, PQRS reporting, and now it’s preparation for the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) in 2017.
“My Quality Insights Practice Transformation Specialist, Lisa Sagwitz, helps keep us successful and moving forward with achieving meaningful use incentive payments and PQRS reporting. We talk on the phone on a regular basis, email when necessary, and the e-newsletters always include a wealth of information. Quality Insights also offers webinars throughout the year that have helped me, and their website contains lots of good resources and tools. I appreciate that the information provided is at a basic level and is easy to understand,” said Walker.
As a relatively small practice, Walker welcomes the tips provided by Quality Insights on how to implement various workflow tweaks that help position the practice for successful reporting. She also benefits from learning about the best practices shared by other Quality Insights Learning & Action Network (LAN) participants from across the five-state network.
